چکیده

Bio-synthesised silver nanoparticles are effective in controlling several micro-organisms. They correspondingly environmentally friendly, affordable, and easy to synthesise when compared with chemically synthesised nanoparticles. This study investigated the efficacy of biosynthesized against fungus Sporisorium scitamineum, causal agent sugarcane smut. The reduction nitrate upon mixing plants’ crude extracts was evidenced by change colour mixture dark brown. Optimization mixtures using ultraviolet-visual spectroscopy showed peaks range 340 450 nm. Fourier transform infrared analysis identified proteins be essential capping agents, reducing sugars were responsible for stabilizing transmission electron microscope sizes vary between 3 70 Carissa spinarum Melia azedarach had most antifungal activity S. scitamineum as observed from inhibition-zone assay. Silver successfully synthesized selected botanicals. All varying effects scitamineum. C. M. exhibited highest activity, while Azadirachta indica least.   Key words: Acacia nilotica, spinarum, Senna didymobotrya, Warburgia ugandensis, azedarach, indica, bio-synthesised nanoparticles, activity.

In Vitro Antifungal Activity of Leaf Extracts of Azadirachta Indica

Objective: The study was to evaluate the antidermatophytic activity of the ethanol, ethyl acetate and hexane extract of Neem ( Azadirachta indica) leaves against dermatophytes isolated from patients with dermatophytosis. Methods: Clinical samples from 200 patients were subjected to (KOH) examination and culture isolation. Causative agents were identified macroscopically and microscopically. The...

Extracts of Azadirachta indica and Melia azedarach seeds inhibit folliculogenesis in albino rats.

The seed oil of Azadirachta indica A. Juss (neem) is used in traditional medicine for its antidiabetic, spermicidal, antifertility, antibacterial, and wound healing properties. The present study was undertaken to investigate the quantitative aspects of follicular development in cyclic female albino rats (135 +/- 10 g; 8 groups with 6 animals in each group) after oral administration of polar (PF...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

development of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles

a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...
